Album Review: Mirage Rock - Band of Horses
Band Of Horses fourth studio album Mirage Rock delivers more than its predecessor Infinite Arms in the way of pacing and music, but it fails to capture the level that the band achieved with 2007’s Cease To Begin when they were at their best.
Mirage Rock is a decent enough album and really, that is all it is. The album has two standout tracks in “Knock Knock” and “Dumpster World”. The rest of the songs are just kind of there. Lyrically, there is nothing that stands out on this album. I used the word decent earlier to describe this album and for me that’s code for not worth spending your money on. I would advise to find a place online to stream this album for free (which isn’t too hard to find) or even find one of those sites to illegally download it. But beware, because illegally downloading music is against the law.
